1.PAINTING - EXTERIOR & INTERIOR
Marks Painting (MP) had done many jobs around of East Side of Providence, Boston, Beverly, Florida and beyond. You can check the pics of many houses that we did and they still in great shape. We worked in many street of East of Providence as Pratt St, Onley St, Irving St, Arlington St, Boylston St, Brown St, Elmgrove Ave, Angell St, and beyond We have many satisfied clients and we can give to you many refers.
Many times we use the HEAT GUN to strip the old paint. After that we do all the preparation that is necessary to paint the house, as: re-nails the clapboards/shingles, fill it up the cracks, caulking where should be done to avoid water leaking/infiltration at the house, small carpentry, clean it up the gutters.
After the preparation, we prime the house and 2 coats of painting. We do not like to use OIL PAINTING for allergy problems and safety. today water base paint as good as the old oil paint.
2.PORCH, ROOF & MORE
We can build and fix porch, fence, roof your house, take care with water leaking
3.STORM WINDOWS & DOOR
Time for new windows? Not necessarily. High-quality storm windows may be all you need to banish leaks, at a fraction of the cost of replacement windows. "A good storm stops air infiltration about as well as most replacement windows, and the upfront costs are much lower," says This Old House general contractor Tom Silva. "It's like putting money in your pocket."
To improve the insulation and help you to save money with the heating bills, we can install new storm windows and/door at your house. Storm windows as good as double glass and it is much easier to fix or replace it. We like to use the POINT ONE FROM CUSTOM BUILD since can be use at the historical houses. Storm windws
Triple track, combination (windows and screen) storm windows are designed for installation over double hung windows. They are permanently installed and can be opened any time with a screen slid into place for ventilation. Double-track combination units are also available and they cost less. Both kinds are sold almost everywhere, and can be bought with or without the cost of installation.
The supplier will first measure all the windows where you want storm windows installed. It will take anywhere from several days to a few weeks to make up your order. Installation should take less than one day, depending on how many windows are involved. Two very important items should be checked to make sure the installation is properly done.
Make sure that both the window sashes and screen sash move smoothly and seal tightly when closed after installation. Poor installation can cause misalignment. Be sure there is a tightly caulked seal around the edge of the storm windows. Leaks can hurt the performance of storm windows a lot.
Frame finish: A mill finish (plain aluminum) will oxidize, reducing ease of operation and degrading appearance. An anodized or baked enamel finish is better. Extruded vinyl is also available, and when properly designed vinyl works fine.
Corner joints: Quality of construction affects the strength and performance of storm windows. Corners are a good place to check construction. They should be strong and air tight. Normally overlapped corner joints are better than mitered. If you can see through the joints, they will leak air.
Sash tracks and weather stripping: Storm windows are supposed to reduce air leakage around windows. The depth of the metal grooves (sash tracks) at the sides of the window and the weather stripping quality makes a big difference in how well storm windows can do this. Compare several types before deciding.
Hardware quality: The quality of locks and catches has a direct effect on durability and is a good indicator of overall construction quality.
4.WINDOW PRESERVATION – BTE
Also we install the new WINDOW SYSTEM BETTER THAN EVER BY JAY MARCO. The system will preserve the old sash and make it work again going up and down and could be tilt in or not. We installed this system in many houses all over of ESP, Beverly, Danvers and beyond. the same system will improve the insulation of your house since it is tigh and we insulated the cavities of the windows. Please check our web page www.jaymarcowindows.com.
5.HOME IMPROVEMENT
We can remodeling your kitchen, bathroom, help you to choose the right colors for your house.
6.INSULATION
Fiberglass, cellulose, and foam are the most common types of blown- and sprayed-in insulation materials. And it is worth it. Retrofitting insulation into existing walls and attic space can achieve a 20 to 30 percent savings on heating bills. Determined DIY'ers can find cellulose or fiberglass blower equipment at their local rental yard, and can economically complete an attic insulation job. The learning curve and the inconvenience factor make most other blown-in applications impractical for a homeowner, and spray-in insulation should be left to the pro.
Insulation Options
Fiberglass-based blow-in insulationis a popular choice for attics and hard to reach areas.
Cellulose insulationis composed of up to 85 percent recycled newsprint. The remaining content is commonly a mixture of borate and ammonium sulfate that functions as a fire retardant. These chemicals also deter rodents, insects, and mold. Avoid materials containing formaldehyde and mineral fibers.
Cementitious foam is a magnesium-based product that is derived from seawater. Because of its consistency, foam is the most effective product for retrofitting into existing walls. Foam will work its way around any obstacle, providing a near-100 percent wall fill (cellulose, for example, may not fill completely around bundles of wires or pipe runs and leave random voids). Unlike bottled foam insulation used to seal small gaps around pipes and wiring, it does not shrink or expand. In new construction, foam can be installed after drywall is hung, but taping and texturing drywall joints should be completed after the foam has completely dried (usually about 48 hours). Cementitious foam is the most costly insulation to retrofit, but is the most benign in regards to indoor air quality; when it is being applied into a wall there is no dust.

In a radiant setup, the warmth is supplied by hot-water tubes or electric wires buried underneath the floor. As the invisible waves of thermal radiation rise from below, they warm up any objects they strike, which radiate that captured heat in turn. Though the air temperature remains relatively constant, you stay comfortable because the surrounding surfaces aren't stealing warmth from your body.
