Hello, everybody!

I don't know if you were able to attend the SNA Annual
Meeting on Monday, but I?m very grateful to everyone
who did and came up to me to share their enthusiasm.

I just have a quick update and a meeting announcement:
last Wednesday, we met with Neighborhood Parks
Services Director Beth Charlebois in a very
encouraging kickoff meeting. We had terrific
attendance, and I'd like to thank everyone who could
make it. City Councilman Kevin Jackson kindly
coordinated and moderated the session, and the
attendees included Anna Browder (President of
Blackstone Parks Conservancy), David Brussat (writer
for the Providence Journal), Jim Devol (volunteer
consultant for Save The Fountain), and Jon Howard
(Vice-President of Summit Neighborhood Association).

The City has agreed to work with us, and we're looking
forward to collaborating with them. Our next step is
to meet with Bob McMahon of the Parks Department to
create a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the
architectural/engineering assessment that needs to be
done. If you'd like to attend that meeting (we're
still working on a date and time), please let me know
as soon as you can.

In preparation for the RFP meeting, I'd like to hold a
strategy session at my house (39 Langham Road) at 2:00
on Saturday, March 8. Everyone is welcome, and if
you'd like to help out with any part of the project,
from fundraising to public relations, please drop by.
Thank you!

- Jesse
