[Summit] IS ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE WITH COX WEBMAIL?

I thought it was just my older system that was the problem.
Actually, my husband and I have several E-Mail accounts
each, and Cox is the only one that is so bad. In particular,
the delete function takes so long that I wait until I've got
a batch rather than doing it one by one. Then, I go and
do something else while waiting for it to finish. The
other annoyance is that I have found the Search feature
essentially useless.

The only good thing about it is that it doesn't inject all
those awful >>>>> when forwarding, like Yahoo does.
The only E-Mail provider that has been really satisfying
is the one that costs - but it is not very expensive -
fastmail.fm It is only $20 a year for full membership,
you can use your own domain and it has lots of good
features. If you need premium service, huge storage,
you can get that for $40 per year. (I own no stock
in this company - I just like them).

The only reason I use Cox E-Mail at all is - well, it
is included in the high speed internet, which I need
and works better than any of the alternatives.

Blessings,

Nah, WebMail sux (I'm using it now). Sadly, RI is such a small market that Cox has monopoly powers over Internet cable access.

P.S. Our new computers run Vista (don't get me started), but even Windows Mail has a spam blocker that's better than the one Cox offers through their server...
