[Summit] a modest proposal

Since I am totally disgusted at the lack of sidewalk shovelling in this town I hereby modestly propose
that sidewalks in Providence simply be eliminated. It will free up room for parking, allow two lanes
of cars to pass freely, and facilitate the swift, efficient movement of traffic. People need to be taught
that walking is not an acceptable means of getting around. All pedestrians should be cited, fined, and after the third citation,jailed.(a la California's "three strikes you're out" law) The ultimate penalty could
be loss of citizenship. 
    Also RIPTA could be defunded and eliminated. Think of how much money that would save. 
    Sidewalk removal could be financed with the stimulus money the state will receive (whatever is
left over after the tax cuts)
