[Summit] bike vandalism

Walked out onto the porch this morning to pick up the newspaper and discovered that my husband's bike had been messed with in a peculiar way--the handlebar assembly and a little saddle pack containing a bike pump and patches had been stolen.  (He had secured the bike to our firewood rack with a Kryptonite lock.)

I've had the experience of leaving my wallet or my laptop (in its carrying case) on our porch during the day, and come back to find them there.  However, nights are different.  (I've had my car broken into in my driveway when it was dark.)  Just wanted to give you all the heads-up...
