Hello!

I would like to continue the tradition we started in Summit Neighborhood last year. I'm inviting Summit Neighborhood residents, friends and families to participate in a family-friendly caroling event on the East Side of Providence.

Last year, we had a fabulous turnout (over 100 people participated), we met our neighbors and spread good cheer throughout the neighborhood.

I am partnering with Miriam Hospital again this year. I just spoke with Monica Anderson at the hospital and we have tentatively set this year's date for Wednesday Dec. 21st. Although Chez Pascal was very generous last year, opening their doors for us and providing cocoa and snacks for the kids, I feel many families did not need so much hang out time before we started caroling. We will start and end at the hospital this year. Snacks and cocoa will be provided by the hospital at the end of caroling.

I am still working out the details including the start/ end time. Singing is not one of my talents - organizing and general holiday cheer is more my style- so I welcome others to lead the singing. I also need sheet music, a megaphone, flashlights or anything else you can think of. Caroling will occur during Hanukah this year and I would for love us to sing songs that represent as many cultures as possible. Please share your suggestions.

Please contact me (anisa at kidoinfo.com), if you would like to help this year, to schedule carolers at your house/business or if you can provide refreshments or bathroom breaks. (Planning to walk on streets west of Hope St. within several blocks of the hospital).

Looking forward to a festive event!
