[Summit] Animal Control Policy?

For what it's worth, about 15 years ago our cat got lost, and I went to the
Providence Animal Shelter to look for him. I was real impressed by how
well they were taking care of the cats. The cats were clean, there was no
smell, and they all got to go out of their cages into a play room or play
area every day. I don't know how long the shelter kept them... but for a
time they were well cared for.
My cat wasn't there. He turned up on our front porch on Monday afternoon.
(He went missing on Friday.) I think he got accidentally locked into
someone's garage.
So, anyway, has anyone on this or previous discussions about cats called
the Providence Animal Shelter to find out what their policy is?
