Paul,

Can we discuss further at the next SNA meeting on June 18? If it makes
sense to spin a crime watch off into a new organization, then we can help
with that. Alternatively, if a testing-the-waters approach makes more
sense - to see if there is really active interest in a crime watch program
in Summit - we can apply for grant funding through our existing
organization, without the expense of a new 501(c)3.

The Crime Watch is on our agenda as a permanent item, often with little to
nothing to report. It will be on the agenda for the upcoming June 18
meeting, and if you or others would like to come discuss with us, that
would be great.

Dean
