Dear Summit Neighbors,
This is NOT a marketing item. I am not selling anything
nor proposing that you buy anything.
I just thought many of you might like to know about a resource
in our area for those trying to live sustainably.
These people are listed at Earth 911 as car battery recyclers:
http://search.earth911.com/?what=Batteries&where=02908&max_distance=25&country=US&province=RI&city=Providence®ion=Providence&latitude=41.8384095245&longitude=-71.4363778969&family_id=2&list_filter=all
You can drop off a spent car battery outside their shop.
They also sell recycled car batteries. We ourselves bought one
a year or two ago from them for our 1990 Honda. It is still working fine. (the battery & the car). This week, the battery in our 1996
Honda went bad. We bought a recycled battery from them for $47.75
including tax. It took five minutes.
The other thing to like - this is a local business that has been
around for years.
They have other types of large batteries, but I don't know if
any are also available recycled. Check them out at:
Battery Exchange,
133 Silver Spring St,
Providence, RI,
Tel. (401) 861-0388
Vehicle batteries for Motorcycle, Marine/ RV,
Lawn & Garden, Car & Trucks.
Blessings,
Liberty G
