Hi Gayle,
I have reached out to the Narragansett Bay Commission representative, and we will try to put together a public meeting on this issue. I cannot promise that we will get the EPA, DEM, or even DPW at the meeting, but I believe we can get the contractor and NBC representative there to answer questions. Stay tuned.
There was a public meeting on this issue on March 21 at Summit Commons. This was before the dust really started flying on this project, and it seems that another presentation is in order.

Dean,
Is it possible that the neighborhood association could engineer a public
meeting, perhaps with Councilman Jackson's help, with the contractor, DPW,
the Mayor's Office, NBC, EPA, and DEM.
Given Mrs. B's health concerns (which must be affecting others), John
Bazik's comments about placement of equipment (sidewalks, parks, etc) and
resulting destruction, unclear timelines, unclear responsibilities or
responsiveness, the changes in water pressure, safety concerns around the
pipes and lines down sidewalks, loss of business to Merchants, etc, etc, it
seems more than time that we establish concerns publicly so that we can
ensure more accountability and reparations down the line.
When Narragansett Electric was rebuilding the Manchester Street Station and
there was much work in other neighborhoods, they were very transparent and
communicative about timing of work would be, its impacts, etc. And there was
a designated community relations person that neighbors could respond to.
