Not sure you were you all are living but I live in RI where the GA is made up of 113 and out of that 11 are Republicans or Independents. This same GA always heavily represented by Democrats has cut $35 million over the past few years from the "developmentally disabled aid" the Republicans were fighting to keep it. Those heartless Republicans!
Republicans would like school choice, why should a family who can't afford a better school be stuck in a under performing one. Parents can't afford to move to the more expensive neighborhoods at least let their kids go to a better school. Children deserve the best education and shouldn't be restricted by zip code!
More RI facts for you,
2nd highest for unemployment. In fact, only 3 states have unemployment rates above 10% and
Rhode Island's rate stands at 10.8% as of August 2012. This report from the Bureau of Labor
Rhode Island isn't expected to get back to pre-recession job count until 2018 according to the Wall Street Journal
5th highest for state and local tax burden according to the Tax Foundation
7th highest for cost per pupil according to the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
Despite the high cost, Rhode Island comes in at number 31 for education performance according to Education Week's annual education report card
7th worst state to retire.
6th worst in property tax administration. The report by the Council of State Taxation
5th worst for business tax climate according to the Tax Foundation report
7th most miserable housing market.
Among the worst in the country for government transparency receiving a "D-" grade. The report from the United States Public Interest Research Group
The worst state in the nation for manufacturing job losses in the last decade according to the Wall Street Journal analysis of Moody's Analytics data.
Look at RI, the first in and last out of a recession. Fifty out of 50 states for business friendliness.
Remember this is RI and this state has been controlled for almost 70 years by Democrats, so if you want to make this about a political party instead of the individual's own free will to steal or not, I will blame the Democrats when my property is stolen or damaged.
BTW, I would like to be involved in a crime watch so I can protect what is mine and yours too!

The problem is, in fact, massively systemic, and with many parents. Trace the line from petty neighborhood property crime back to its root causes: among others, a gross, increasingly untenable disparity in the distribution of wealth and a pathetic excuse for public health services. Those graphs really aren't lying.

A happy, healthy population is a productive one--why can't they get this first grade concept through their crania?)
