[Summit] voter ID law

The problem is - what identification do you present in order to get an ID card?
(This is the major reason why I oppose the Voter ID legislation).
I suspect that Greg's purple thumb plan might be the best of the options!
At least it would keep folks from voting twice. (Along with the fact that
only one person can vote as John Smith at such and such an address)

I am with you 100% John- and I love your idea of getting your picture ID at polling places! Kathy On 10/06/12, John Bazik<jsb at cs.brown.edu> wrote: Oh, I think it's voter suppression. The evidence for in-person voter
fraud is always anecdotal. But I understand that something like 11%
of registered voters lack a government-issued picture id.
As I wrote to Gordon, who co-sponsored the Voter Id bill, I'd feel a lot
better about the law if picture ids were to be issued at all polling
places and a marketing campaign encouraged voting: "Vote and get a
free id!"
