[Summit] What's wrong with SNA

Several weeks ago, I addressed this subject.
Earlier last year, SNA was again doing some public input on parks.
I tried to remind all that the last time that happened, it was disasterous.
It led to have trees cut down at Lippitt Park!

In fact, way back then, I had objected to the project - any time you
construct anything, including a fountain, it just not good to cut down
trees.
One comment at the time, was that anybody objecting will have to learn to
live with it!

So, when this group again goes about giving input on park improvements, the
point was be careful.

The response was interesting. The idea that SNA does work that helps in
other areas is important, but not the point.
then, one person - Dean!?! - gave a long lecture about how SNA was not
responsible for cutting the trees down.
Well, there's no question that someone else used the chain saw, but it was
the project that SNA proposed that caused this to happen.
In fact, SNA DID NOT object to having the trees cut down.

It's interesting that this person Dean suggested that only 2 trees had been
cut down. Someone needs to look at the pics in the projo, or go back to
some basic math skills!
But, even it is was only 2 trees, it was the idea that the real
spokespeople in the neighborhood had to come forth, call the Mayor, and get
the plan changed. SNA was silent on the issue, at that time.
But there's no doubt that SNA thought it was fine to get rid of those trees
to get the fountain. These people can do projects, maybe, but when they
speak for the neighborhood they get it wrong!
