One and all,
I've taken this post from the Friends of Tom O'Donnell Facebook page. It's
relevant to all of us who are attending Tom's hearing tomorrow at 3:30 at
the South Providence Libary.
"If you’re planning to be at Tom’s hearing on Monday, the Friends of Tom
> want to ask a favor, and it may not be an easy request. We’ve been careful
> so far to keep the focus of our movement on bigger issues and to avoid
> making it personal. We’ve done well, and we want to be sure to maintain
> that focus on Monday.
>
> "There may be things said tomorrow at South Providence Library that will
> disturb us or make us angry. It will be natural to want to respond, but
> we need to keep our composure and not give into our feelings. This is Tom’s
> time to be heard, and any kind of response, even a sigh or a small groan,
> will take attention away from Tom.
>
> "If it’s too much, we may have to quietly get up and leave the room. Being
> a silent witness isn’t easy, especially when you really care. Our strong
> and quiet presence is what Tom needs tomorrow, and we ask that you join us
> in giving him just that. That’s the favor. Thank you for your support."
Best to all,
Julie
