Dear Neighbors,
There is another email list that SNA Board members use to communicate among ourselves. The existence of the list is not a secret, every board needs something like this, and no reasonable person will be surprised to learn about it. It’s used for planning meetings, organizing committees, volunteering for tasks, and housekeeping items that most neighbors would find highly uninteresting.
If you’re really curious, there’s an easy way to get on that email list: join the SNA Board! All Summit residents are eligible to join. You’ll have a chance to do that this soon at our annual meeting. I’m chair of the nominating committee this year, and I’ll take this opportunity to encourage you to put your name forward. Send me an email and I’ll be glad to tell you more.

Maybe you are talking about Summit Market group?
That is smaller, supposedly "select" because it is for business/money matters: people selling services, raising funds, sharing purchases.
It was set up because of people who WANTED to be "excluded", to NOT hear that stuff.
It is not set up to shut anybody out.
It is set up to "protect" people from having to hear
that I had to buy the flour I wanted in a 50lb bag size and am selling some of it off,
or that someone is a lawyer and is advertising for clients
or that we are selling music lessons.
You are free to join that list too.
Although you will probably find a bigger welcome both places if you left the attitude out of it.
I personally, am not happy that the Summit group does so much of it's stuff on my Sabbath when I get no choice about whether I want to participate.
But a group is made up heavily of the people that DO the work.
And since I do not have any time to be part of that, I do NOT feel it is appropriate for me to more than ask politely- for things to be different.
Summit folks do a lot of good stuff, and those people deserve thanks.
Human beings rarely agree on everything.

turns out that there are 2 email forums for sna
this is one
the other is for select member of SNA... this fits so well with this group as such an elitist group...
why do you have to have two email forums?????
