[Summit] Great Community Event!

Dear Neighbors -

Please plan to attend this upcoming event to support the Mt. Hope Learning Center and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School Community. Both are doing great work to support children from throughout the East Side, especially in Summit and Mt. Hope! This event is designed to reunite those who have been involved in the MLK School Community - a reunion - but all are welcome! Donations are gladly accepted, but we also hope you will attend.

When We Were King: MLK Elementary Reunion &Fundraiser for Mt. Hope Learning Center
Thursday, June 18, 6:00-8:00pm
MLK School, 35 Camp Street

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School and Mt. Hope Learning Center invite all MLK Elementary alumni and their families to a reunion. Come to King to visit the school, see old friends, meet current students and staff members, and celebrate the role of a wonderful neighborhood school that’s been serving Mt. Hope and the greater East Side for nearly 50 years. Current families and students are welcome as well! We suggest a $20 donation, which you can pay in advance at www.mlkpto.org or at the door. This fundraiser will celebrate the committed partnership between MLK Elementary and the Mt. Hope Learning Center. Proceeds will support Mt. Hope Learning Center afterschool programs, vacation/summer camps and more for King students. The evening’s events will include tours of the school, raffles, a performance from the award winning Mt. Hope Step Team, great food, a special guest appearance by King celebrities (perhaps a Mr. Kane sighting!) and more.
