[Summit] Missing Cat (Sad Update)

Dear Neighbors,

Someone coming home from working at Miriam Hospital  informed us that they
had spotted Bear, our missing large cat, in the jaws of coyote.  The coyote
dropped Bear at one point while being observed and the Miriam worker
confirmed that Bear was dead.  The Miriam worker described Bear's
collar which we had not described in our posting and was different from the
one in the picture posted on the SNA listserv and on Facebook - so we find
the account credible and accurate.

Thank you everyone who kept and eye out for him.  Bear will be missed.

The coyote was spotted near the park on 9th St. and Highland Ave.
I have witnessed coyotes multiple times on Blackstone Blvd, but never
thought they would venture past Hope St into a more thickly settled area -
sadly for cat owners they have.
