Hi neighbors,

The City Council Ordinance Committee will be holding another public hearing
on the Fane luxury residential tower proposal, on Monday, October 22nd at
5:30pm in the City Council Chamber. The sign-up sheet for public testimony
will be set out by 5:00pm.

Due in part to strong opposition testimony by Councilor Nirva Lafortune and
dozens of others, the committee had previously voted down the proposal at
their last committee hearing, as had the City Plan Commission back in the
spring. Nonetheless, the full Council decided last month to bounce this to
committee again for one more go.

This time, the developer himself will evidently make a presentation. This
proposal has city-wide implications, and public attendance and testimony is
as important as it was at the previous hearings.
