As you know, the Rhode Island Department of Education, working in partnership with Governor Gina Raimondo and Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza, assembled a diverse team of local and national education experts, including representatives from the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy, to oversee the review of Providence Public Schools and compile a final report.
During the review phase of the process, the review team was charged with visiting schools and listening to stakeholders about the challenges they face in the classroom and central office.

Good evening,
Thank you again to everyone who participated in the review process of Providence Public Schools so far, especially for your larger commitment to serve as members of the community to advocate for parents, families, and students.
In addition to the review team's work, parents, students, and community members were invited to share their feedback at any time through an open survey and during community forums.
We're now waiting for the report from Johns Hopkins with the findings, which will outline what the review team discovered to be the common themes and consistent roadblocks reported in the district.
In preparation for the release of the report, RIDE and the City of Providence is in the process of scheduling briefings with key stakeholders and community forums to have an open conversation with Providence educators, students, and families to react to the findings and to give them the opportunity to offer feedback on the next steps.
If you'd like to join us at a community forum, please register through this survey, www.surveymonkey.com/r/PPSDReport or by calling us at 311 or 401-421-2489.

Buenas noches,
Gracias
