[Summit] Environmental workshop on Feb 27th

Save the Date for Thursday, Feb 27th from 7 to 8:30 for "A Neighborhood Guide to Environmental Citizenship" at Rochambeau Library.

The topics and speakers are:

7:00 Consuming less: one households journey to zero waste: Michelle Cortes Harkins and Rick Harkins
7:30 Nurturing your local habitat: Greg Gerritt - Friends of the Moshassuck, Lauren Parmelee - Audubon Society of RI
8:00 Getting around without your car : Liza Burkan - People for Bikes Campaign; CJ Opperthauser - Grow Smart RI

BYOWB (Bring your own water bottle)

This is planned to be the first of two workshops on the environment developed by Summit Speaks committee of SNA. Our next workshop will focus on climate change and renewables. The date is still to be scheduled. And if there are other topics you are eager to hear about, please let us know.
