WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO1 PM EST SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Widespread total snow accumulations between 5 and 9 inches, highest amounts across northern Massachusetts, where there is a low probability (10-20% chance) of 10-12" inches.
* WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut, central, eastern, northeastern, southeastern, and western Massachusetts, and northern and southern Rhode Island.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heaviest snow falls roughly 10 PM to 5 AM from west to east, with snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour at times. Snow may mix with freezing drizzle before ending Sunday morning.
* PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water inyour vehicle in case of an emergency.
