[Summit] Exciting Transit Service News

The plan is for the state to construct a bus turnaround area on Mill Street in Pawtucket, just over the border from the station.  From there, passengers would need to walk 2 minutes to South Attleboro Station.  Unfortunately, the cost of meeting federal and insurance regulations is too high for RIPTA to drive their buses across the border (minimum liability is $10 million  - RIPTA is self insured).  Some state legislators are trying to work with RI's federal legislators to have RIPTA granted a waiver for these requirements.
